Safety in Wildlife Research

Description:

This course explores the hazards that are associated with performing research with wildlife in the field. The content includes zoonotic diseases, noxious plants, environmental concerns, and hazardous animals. This course covers hazards common to North America. References for researching international hazards are provided.

Note: 

If you have not already, you will also need to complete training with the Research Animal Resources Center (RARC) and the Animal Contact Risk Questionnaire with EHS Occupational Medicine.

Audience

This course is required for personnel with animal contact who are working on a wildlife protocol.
