Occupational Health

The Occupational Health team is made up of Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics professionals.   Areas of focus include general air quality, exposure assessment and control, personal protective equipment, respiratory protection, noise hazards, ergonomics and air sampling.

Industrial Hygiene can evaluate and control exposure to health hazards in the workplace.  Common examples on campus are formaldehyde, silica, anesthetic gas, allergens, methylene chloride, hazardous noise, and general indoor air quality.

Ergonomics aims to improve comfort, reduce strain and prevent injuries in the workplace.
