Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) is offering HeartSaver® CPR AED — a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult. Each course is roughly four hours long.
This course teaches skills with the research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training at no cost to the student.Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) is also offering BLS-Health Care Provider CPR training for those within the healthcare field who are required to have the BLS-Health Care Provider card. The BLS-Health Care Provider is also about a four-hour PWW class that requires passing a written and practical test. BLS-Health Care Provider Class schedule-based demand or can be performed by appointment.
Upon completion of this courses, students receive an American Heart Association course completion card.
