ARROW, the online workflow system for research oversight, was upgraded on August 10 to ensure continued functionality. Research teams will notice a few changes to the Bio-ARROW protocol after this update, including:
- The protocol is a single scrolling page instead of using the Jump To button to navigate between sections.
- Reviewer notes have been relocated to more convenient locations. Question-specific notes are next to the question, section-specific notes are at the top of the section, and table-specific notes are located in the table.
- The Save, Exit, and Continue buttons are located on the bottom of page.
- A new warning message will be displayed if other users are editing the same SmartForm section.
- A new “Welcome Back” function starts the user in the SmartForm section they were previously on before they exited the protocol.
The Office of Biological Safety is happy to answer any questions or provide assistance with protocols. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns at biosafety@fpm.wisc.edu or 608-263-2037.
